Everett High School’s Guidance Department is committed to supporting the academic, behavioral and social emotional needs of all students to ensure lifelong success.  Students are supported by their teachers, counselors and administrators to assist them with creating a career plan and identifying post secondary pathways.  During Advisory, the MyCAP student journey is explored in the 9th grade by focusing on goal-setting and envisioning the future.  It continues into the 10th grade where students begin building their resumes and explore potential career paths.  In 11th grade, students research colleges and career options via virtual tours, industry presentations and visits.  12th graders complete their postsecondary process by applying to college, trades schools, military and begin to build their personal support network to better ensure post-secondary success.  Students create their MyCAP journey through Naviance, our online college and career planning system. Students complete their ePortfolio documenting their learning across the three domains of college and career readiness.
