Everett High School Families:

We hope everyone is having a great weekend.

This will be our first full week of the school year.

We will begin the MAP Test this week. Please see the information below about the MAP Test.

Also, please see the message below and the document at the end of this email about an event at EHS in partnership with The NAN Project.

MAP TESTING
Everett High School will administer the Beginning-of-Year MAP Growth assessments September 15–18, 2026.

Students will take: MAP Reading on September 15–16 and MAP Math on September 17–18

Students will complete the assessments during their regularly scheduled ELA/ESL and Math classes.MAP Growth is a benchmark assessment that helps teachers understand what students already know, identify areas where students may need additional support, and measure academic growth over the school year. The results will help teachers plan instruction and provide appropriate supports for students.

Please help us by making sure your student:
  • attends school on testing days
  • arrives on time
  • brings a fully charged Chromebook each day
  • gives their best effort on the assessment
MAP is not a pass/fail test, but students should take it seriously so the results accurately reflect what they know and can do .Most students will complete the assessment during their regular class period. Students who need additional time will be provided an opportunity to finish in a supervised testing location. Students who are absent will be assigned a makeup session. Students with documented accommodations and multilingual learners will receive appropriate testing support.

Thank you for helping us ensure that we have accurate information to support student learning and growth throughout the year.
