Weekly Message from Principal Braga

Good Morning, Everett High School Families:

We hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Academic finals continue this week. The schedule is below.

Report cards for the fourth academic quarter will be mailed home. Also, grades for the fourth academic quarter will be available in ASPEN by 3 p.m. on June 23, 2026.

As we close out this school year, we would like to say thank you for a great year. We were able to achieve improvements in student daily attendance, as well as improvements in academic performance. We are looking forward to the next school year. The regular weekly emails will start back again as we approach the start of the next school year.

The school is currently working on student schedules for next year. We will send updates throughout the summer about student schedules. Summer school is from June 29, 2026, to July 23, 2026.

Students assigned to summer school will receive an email. If you have any questions about summer school, please email Mr. DiLoreto
([email protected]) or Ms. Kacvinsky ([email protected]).

The summer hours for the main office are Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The school will be closed on July 3, 2026, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.

Tardy Protocol

The daily EHS Tardy Protocol:
7:30 a.m. — EHS doors open, breakfast is available
7:45 a.m. — Students move to their homeroom
8:00 a.m. — Homeroom begins
8:01 a.m. — Students are marked tardy to school; students who arrive at homeroom at 8:01am or after will be marked tardy
8:07 a.m. — Homeroom ends, and students move to their first period class

*EHS takes into consideration the weather conditions when excusing tardies.

Personal Device Laptops and Computers

Students are encouraged not to bring personal laptops or computers to school, as every student should have a Chromebook. The school-issued Chromebook provides direct access to all necessary educational applications. If a student does not have a Chromebook, the student should contact their homeroom teacher. The technology department is located at Everett High School and can assist with any issues.

Bathroom Procedures

At Everett High School, the bathrooms are locked during the first and last 7 minutes of each class. Outside of these times, they remain unlocked and accessible. If a student needs to use the bathroom during those locked periods, the student can either:

Ask their classroom teacher to contact a school administrator to unlock it.
Ask for assistance from a staff member near the bathroom to unlock it.

While this is a new procedure for Everett High School, it is a common practice in many high schools. The bathrooms on the first floor are open throughout the day. We value your support in maintaining consistent procedures at Everett High School.

Attendance Updates

Everett High School will be eliminating the policy that assigns an E grade to students after a certain number of absences. Instead, we will implement a new policy emphasizing regular outreach to maintain consistent daily attendance. Attendance will continue to impact a student’s eligibility for summer school. Please see the updated attendance protocol below. These documents will be added to each weekly email.
