Everett High School Families:

The progress reports for the first academic quarter were posted on ASPEN on October 1, 2025. The progress reports will be sent home tomorrow, October 6, 2025.   The first Parent-Teacher Conference is this Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

There was some confusion around the start time for the late-entry day this past Wednesday. Due to the confusion, we removed any tardies from this past Wednesday. We will make sure our communication is clearer for the next late-entry day in November.

Elections for class offices in grades 9, 10, and 11 will be held tomorrow, Monday, October 6, 2025.

Afterschool Club Highlight (VOICES)

The Cambridge Health Alliance is conducting an after-school club called VOICES from 2:45pm to 4:00pm on Wednesdays in room 5600. VOICES focuses on developing leadership and public speaking skills. Students will have the opportunity to organize a community project. The first session will be held this Wednesday (October 8, 2025).

Bathroom Procedure (Updated)
At Everett High School, the bathrooms are locked during the first and last 7 minutes of each class. Outside of these times, they remain unlocked and accessible. If a student needs to use the bathroom during those locked periods, the student can either:

Ask their classroom teacher to contact a school administrator to unlock it.
Ask for assistance from a staff member near the bathroom to unlock it.

While this is a new procedure for Everett High School, it is a common practice in many high schools. The bathrooms on the first floor are open throughout the day. We value your support in maintaining consistent procedures at Everett High School.

Attendance Updates

Everett High School will be eliminating the policy that assigns an E grade to students after a certain number of absences. Instead, we will implement a new policy emphasizing regular outreach to maintain consistent daily attendance. Attendance will continue to impact a student’s eligibility for summer school. Please see the updated attendance protocol below. These documents will be added to each weekly email.

Personal Device Laptops and Computers

Students are encouraged not to bring personal laptops or computers to school, as every student should have a Chromebook. The school-issued Chromebook provides direct access to all necessary educational applications. If a student does not have a Chromebook, the student should contact their homeroom teacher. The technology department is located at Everett High School and can assist with any issues.
